KP government orders transfer of several senior police officers

Inspector General of Police issues orders with Chief Minister's approval; all officers directed to assume new responsibilities immediately

Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has announced the new appointments and transfers of 9 senior police officers on Wednesday. These orders will be immediately applied in the public interest.

Details of Transfers and Appointments

  • Umar Tufair (PSP BS-19) has been transfered from the position of District Police Officer (DPO) to CCD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa SSP CTF & EU. He will also handle the position of DIG CTF & EU.
  • Haroon Rashid (PSP BS-19) has been transfered from Cheif Traffic Officer Peshawar to DPO Abbottabad.
  • Dr. Zubair Ullah (PSP BS-19) Kohat DPO to the position of Cheif Traffic Officer Peshawar
  • Nasir Ahmed (PSP BS-19) has been transferred from SSP Operations Peshawar to DPO Mardan.
  • Shehbaz Elahi (PSP BS-19) has been transferred from DPO Mardan to SSP Operations Peshawar.
  • Saad Khan (PSP BS-19) has been transferred from DPO Buner  to DPO Karak.
  • Muhammad Azhar (PSP BS-19) has been transferred from SIGHR & MDs to DPO Mansehra.
  • Shafiullah (PSP BS-19) has been transferred from DPO Mardan to Closed To CPO Peshawar.
  • Muhammad Iqbal Shah (Provisional Service BS-19) has been transferred from SP City CCP Peshawar to DPO Buner.

These order are taken under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act 2017 (Amended in 2024) Section 17 (4) after the approval of Cheif Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

All the above officers have been directed to take charge of their new posts immediately.
